We were all feeling a little bit under the weather on a cold and gloomy day last week. I was not up for preparing dinner, so we decided to order out. Dewayne had an appointment and told us to order food from somewhere that was close to his appointment, and he would pick it up and bring it home. Kim and I went on-line and started searching for restaurants and eventually decided on Italian food at Piero's Pasta and Wine.
When we looked at the menus, we were delightfully surprised to see all of the great menu choices. In fact, it all looked so good it was difficult to make a decision on what we wanted and had questions about the family pack meals. We had a pleasant conversation with the Owner, Chef de Cuisine, Miguel Linares, who answered all of our questions and helped us make a decision. We ended up ordering from the family pack meals. Since we are only a family of three, we knew the whole family pack meal would be too much, so we ordered 1/2 a pan of chicken parmesan with penne; and 1/2 a pan of short rib ragu. (Just enough for leftovers.) The courses also came with bread and salad.
The food was delicious. I have severe food allergies and was able to eat everything with no reactions, so I know they use fresh products. The chicken parmesan was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Both meals had mouthwatering flavors and the Papardelle pasta embodied the rich short rib ragu perfectly. The salad was fresh and crisp with a light vinaigrette, which was a little too vinaigrette for my taste, so I used a different dressing that I had in the fridge. The bread was awesome!!!!!
We finished the meal off with homemade apple cobbler and ice cream that I had made earlier in the day. It was a great meal. We will definitely be going back to Piero's Pasta and Wine restaurant.
My pictures don't do the meal justice, so I have included this link to the restaurants' picture gallary.
